Duties &Responsibilities

 
  • Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions
  • Oversee the data governance function
  • Build predictive data analytical capability
  • Drive the development of business intelligence solutions
  • Manage data-related risks and compliance
  • Collaborate with business leaders, technology teams, and external partners
  • Establish best practices for data management and governance framework

DesiredExperience & Qualifications

 
  • 12+ years in senior IT or Data & Analytics roles
  • 7+ years leading senior managers and overseeing functions
  • MBA (preferred), Honours in IT, Data Science, Computer Science, or Statistics (essential)
  • Proven experience implementing AI & Machine Learning strategies
  • Expertise in Big Data, Data Strategy, and Analytics
  • Strong background in Data Management (governance, strategy, architecture, etc.)
  • Proficient in BI design, architectures, and data visualizations
  • Advanced skills in statistical modelling, Excel, SQL, SAS, and Tableau
  • In-depth knowledge of AI/ML frameworks, tools, and programming languages
  • Understanding of AI/ML ethical considerations
  • Expertise in budgeting, financial management, and agile practices
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, POPIA, AML)
