IT & Systems Lead / Manager

Introduction

 

Are you ready to take charge of building an entire IT function from the ground up in a dynamic, fast-growing company s their IT & Systems Lead / Manager? If yes, this is the right role for you. Hybrid role in Stellenbosch (4 days in office, 1 day remote).

Duties &Responsibilities

 
  • Develop and implement the IT strategy to align with the overall business goals and objectives
  • Design and establish the IT Operations structure, defining roles, responsibilities, and processes for the team
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial oversight for all IT initiatives
  • Lead the IT team, providing guidance and support to achieve operational excellence and high performance
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including network administration, cybersecurity, data management, and help desk support
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness
  • Identify and implement IT solutions to mitigate business risks, automate processes, and enhance overall efficiency across the organization

DesiredExperience & Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, ideally in a high-growth or technology-driven industry
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives
  • Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and applications management
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management for IT operations
  • Hands-on experience with IT governance frameworks and ensuring compliance and risk mitigation
  • Professional IT certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, PMP) are highly advantageous
