This role requires a strong project manager who has proven experience within a retail environment. You'll take ownership of projects from conceptualisation through to closure, bringing together business, technical and operational teams to deliver against scope, timelines, budgets and quality expectations
What you will do
Own the delivery and execution of projects and initiatives from conceptualisation through to post-implementation review
Own delivery of the business case within agreed time and cost
Deliver projects against approved scope, CAPEX and OPEX budgets
Manage project risks through to resolution
Coordinate and manage diverse stakeholder groups across business and technical teams
Coordinate activities across IT and Product, Change Management and Training, third-party partners and stores
Lead operational and steering committee communications
Produce regular project reports and updates for senior governance forums and EXCO members
Maintain accurate project plans, accountabilities and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with project management methodology and the quality of all deliverables
Report on project status internally
Define business and technical team roles and expectations
Ensure smooth delivery into operational environments with zero impact on stores and operational teams
Manage stakeholder expectations throughout project execution
Ensure appropriate project closure and facilitate business handover, including post-implementation review
Provide input into the one-year operating plan and project priority plan in line with strategy and business requirements
Requirements
Clear evidence of delivering complex, cross-functional projects within a retail environment
5+ years of relevant project management experience
Proven delivery experience using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Ability to blend multiple teams working across different delivery frameworks
Relevant business knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience participating in senior governance forums
Strong reporting and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
Strong leadership, relationship management and stakeholder coordination skills
Strategic, analytical and delivery-focused approach
Highly detailed and collaborative working style
Strong problem-solving ability and agility
Ability to travel
Education
Degree or diploma and/or relevant certifications
Advantageous
Proven delivery experience within an online fulfilment or operational environment
Experience with online fulfilment across stores and dark stores
Experience with last-mile fulfilment
