Overview
We are on the hunt for a Senior Business Analyst to join our client's team on a 12-month contract. This role is pivotal in supporting our AI Forecasting and Replenishment project, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions in the retail and supply chain sectors. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery, with a strong background in retail, supply chain, and forecasting systems.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
Discovery Phase: Contributing to the development of business cases, high-level designs, architectures, and requirements.
Strategic Planning: Developing and strategizing approaches to business analysis work.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitating workshops, interviews, and sessions with various stakeholders, including executives, business teams, technical teams, and vendors.
Impact Assessments: Conducting thorough assessments to understand the implications of proposed changes.
Requirements Documentation: Eliciting, documenting, and reviewing business requirements (e.g., BRDs), epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Process Improvement: Documenting as-is and to-be processes, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements.
Testing and Training: Managing user acceptance testing (UAT) and providing training to ensure successful implementation.
Support and Maintenance: Offering ongoing support and business-as-usual (BAU) assistance post-implementation.
Data and Integration: Collaborating with data teams and working on integration/interfaces as required.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years of solid experience as a Certified Business Analyst.
Proven experience in retail and supply chain environments, particularly in forecasting and replenishment.
Familiarity with AI forecasting and replenishment systems (e.g., Relex is advantageous).
Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
Exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and with diverse stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in documenting business requirements, epics, features, and user stories.
Strong understanding of data, integration, and interfaces.
Soft Skills:
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Travel Requirements
Location: Based in Cape Town (Woodstock)
Work Arrangement: Primarily office-based, with one day of remote work per week.
