Overview
We are on the hunt for a Senior Technical Specialist to join our client's team within the Group Shared Applications: Content Services department. This role is pivotal in managing and supporting various content repositories, including IBM Content Manager 8, IBM Content Manager OnDemand, and associated web client applications. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and enhancement of these systems to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Specialist, your core responsibilities will include:
Configuring and supporting implementation solutions utilizing the IBM Content Management suite of products.
Working with integrated solutions using IBM Content Manager, IBM OnDemand, IBM Content Navigator, and other related IBM technologies.
Installing, upgrading, and maintaining third-party packages (IBM).
Leading and/or assisting in the creation of technical documentation and operating procedures for client solutions on the IBM platform.
Providing task estimations and work allocation recommendations.
Executing disaster recovery processes and tests.
Conducting proof of concepts and reporting on the progress of technical tasks.
Maintaining and enhancing systems based on business requirements using approved technology standards.
Evaluating products and providing production support, including standby duties.
Sharing and transferring knowledge to team colleagues.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
A relevant IT degree or diploma.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in IBM Content Management, specifically in:
IBM Content Manager
IBM Content Manager OnDemand
Knowledge of content capture and classification solutions.
Additional Skills (Advantageous)
Solutions development and design.
Development and scripting experience.
Proficiency in relational databases such as DB2 and MS SQL.
Windows Server and Red Hat Linux skills.
Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management technologies and processes.
IBM Content Classification expertise.
Familiarity with Kofax Total Agility.
