Systems Analyst (Logistics – Information Systems)

Are you ready to revolutionize logistic solutions and streamline systems as a Systems Analyst within Information Systems Department?

Duties &Responsibilities

 
  • Solution Delivery: Analyze, design, and specify new Information Systems solutions, focusing on integration and meeting both existing and new requirements
  • Gap Analysis: Identify and address discrepancies between client requirements and system functionalities, defining solutions to bridge these gaps
  • Project Involvement: Participate in project teams, providing technical input, managing deliverables, and ensuring accurate project milestones and costs
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively and that solutions are scalable and adaptable
  • Technology Evaluation: Contribute to evaluating and introducing new technologies or I.S. platforms into the company’s landscape

DesiredExperience & Qualifications

 
  • BSc (Computer Science), BEng (Computer / Electronic / Electrical) or similar Degree / NQF 7 equivalent required
  • 8 – 10 years experience in the Information Systems industry
  • 5+ years experience with I.S. solutions
  • 3 – 5 years exposure to the logistics industry (clearing and forwarding, warehousing, transport and / or supply chain management)
  • Direct experience with the Microsoft technology stack
  • Requirements gathering, analysis, and consultation
  • Solutions design including evaluation, documentation and specification of a solution
  • Documentation of the solution requirement specification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft BizTalk Platform
  • Development of solutions using Microsoft technologies will be advantageous
