Introduction

 

Our client is in need of a Technical Operations Analyst (IT) who will be responsible for ensuring that services and tasks associated to the implementation of the technical systems and infrastructure are identified and prepared for deployment and operation, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.

Duties &Responsibilities

 

Operational Readiness:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop operational readiness expectations for new systems, applications, and infrastructure deployments.
  • Define operational requirements, including monitoring, maintenance, and support processes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist in contingency planning for soft launches and Go Live deployments.

Cloud Implementation Management:

  • Coordinate with IT teams to plan processes and execute infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Introduce measures that will provide assurance that hardware, software, and network components are configured and tested according to operational requirements.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Understand and implement monitoring tools and systems to track the performance and health of technical infrastructure.
  • Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement performance enhancements and scalability improvements.

Incident Management and Response:

  • Aid the development of incident response plans and procedures to address technical issues and outages in a multi-entity environment with hand-offs as required.
  • Facilitate the development and coordination of processes with IT support teams (internal and external) designed to resolve incidents in a timely manner, minimizing impact on operations.
  • This will include post-incident processes to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.

Service Level Management

  • Work with internal and external parties to ensure all the necessary Service Management elements and metrics are introduced and managed thereafter.

Documentation and Knowledge Management:

  • Gather information and produce necessary Overviews and detailed documents for the Operational Readiness and BAU management/oversight for Go Live and beyond.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of technical systems, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Develop knowledge repositories and training materials to support ongoing operations and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and training workshops for operational staff where appropriate

DesiredExperience & Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in technical operations environments supporting large transactional system implementations, infrastructure deployment, and performance monitoring including the design and documentation of associated processes.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices for operational readiness.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc)
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong facilitation skills, with experience managing tasks across cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Experience of operating in a multi-vendor environment.
