Overview
We are on the hunt for a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Growth & Partnerships Manager (FMCG Retail Stores) to lead and implement strategic objectives within a portfolio of members. This role is pivotal in driving business growth, fostering strong relationships, and delivering retail and wholesale leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating sustainable, value-adding partnerships with stakeholders, while contributing to the overall mission of building better businesses.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives, focusing on value-adding products, services, and business plans.
Sales & Profitability Management: Collaborate with divisional teams to achieve sales targets, compile growth plans, and drive sales performance.
New Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and manage new business opportunities to expand the customer base and meet development targets.
Private Label Management: Drive the implementation of private label strategies and achieve product range targets.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with members, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure service excellence.
Brand Management: Strengthen brand presence, execute community brand-building initiatives, and promote the use of branded materials.
Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation by identifying opportunities to improve processes, products, and services.
Team Leadership: Motivate, develop, and lead team members to achieve objectives and uphold company values.
Administrative Excellence: Ensure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and adherence to company standards.
Qualifications
Solid FMCG store experience and knowledge
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field
Ability to assist in building businesses
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and implement growth strategies
Open to travel in Western Cape
Day-to-Day Activities
Collaborate with divisional teams to monitor and achieve sales targets.
Develop and implement tailored growth plans for members.
Conduct regular store assessments and provide actionable insights to members.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure service excellence and address feedback.
Drive private label sales and ensure product range compliance.
Analyze sales reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
Attend operations meetings and prepare detailed reports for management.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
