Overview
We are searching for a seasoned and dynamic Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead to join our client's Global Business Services (GBS) department on a 12-month contract. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across key business units, including HR, Procurement, and Finance. Responsibilities
Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across HR, Procurement, and Finance functions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
Develop and execute strategies to identify, analyze, and resolve process inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process standardization and optimization.
Utilize data-driven methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools, to achieve measurable improvements.
Provide coaching and training to team members to embed a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Monitor and report on the progress of CI initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Act as a change agent, fostering innovation and promoting best practices across the GBS department.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
Extensive experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational excellence roles, preferably within a global or shared services environment.
Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies (certification preferred).
Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of influencing and driving change at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Day-to-Day
Collaborate with business unit leaders to identify improvement opportunities and prioritize initiatives.
Conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, and performance assessments to identify areas for enhancement.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build CI capabilities within teams.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented initiatives.
Prepare and present progress reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for CI projects.
