Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on secure coding practices and integrate security into the software development lifecycle.

  • Perform security testing, including static and dynamic application security testing, and lead penetration testing efforts.

  • Lead initiatives to secure our web applications and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) to protect against cyber threats.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for investigating and responding to security incidents related to application vulnerabilities or attacks on web applications.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in application security, secure software development, or a related cybersecurity role.

  • Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and common application security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).

  • Experience with security testing tools, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and DevOps practices.

  • Relevant certifications such as CSSLP, CEH, OSWE, or GWAPT are preferred.

Day-to-day:

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.

  • Lead security testing efforts and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) to protect web applications.

  • Investigate and respond to security incidents related to application vulnerabilities or attacks on web applications.
