Overview

We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager to join a leading ICT services provider in West Africa. In this role, you’ll develop and execute sales strategies, manage key carrier relationships, and uncover new opportunities in the wholesale market. Your mission: drive revenue and profit growth through smart selling and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Presenting our brand to carrier players in West Africa and managing client relationships

  • Acquiring RFP invites, presenting feasible solutions, and approaching bids until deals are sealed

  • Exploring new business opportunities and forging relations with target clients

  • Serving as the primary contact point to carrier partners/clients and organizing commercial events

  • Contributing to market research and intelligence into pricing functions

  • Managing contracts with carrier partner/clients and ensuring compliance with company policies

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in a related field from a reputable University

  • Certifications or supplementary sales training

  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience in the telecom industry, with at least 5 years in the carrier or wholesale telecom market

  • Strong understanding of the wholesale telecom market in the Western Africa Region

  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills

  • Techno-commercial experience and account management skills

  • Above average understanding of financial terms and local tax regulations

  • Solid understanding of Telecommunication networks and new technologies

  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time both locally and internationally

  • Developing and executing sales strategies

  • Managing customer relationships

  • Exploring new business opportunities

  • Networking and presenting CMI’s service and capability

  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met
