We are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering projects of varying sizes and complexities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology standards. Responsibilities

As a Junior Project Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and managing projects in accordance with established project management methodologies, governance, and standards.

  • Effectively managing risks, issues, actions, budgets, and dependencies.

  • Prioritizing project scope items based on capacity, budget availability, and expected business benefits.

  • Tracking project progress and finances, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Managing resource allocation, procurement processes, vendor contracts, and delivery in line with agreements.

  • Utilizing project management forums for reporting, escalation, and decision-making.

  • Applying formal change management processes for scope, budget, and timeline adjustments.

  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders.

  • Ensuring a seamless transition from project implementation to ongoing support and maintenance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Grade 12 certificate.

  • A relevant IT or Project Management qualification.

Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing IT projects.

  • Proven experience managing outsourced projects in a multi-vendor environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in SaaS solution implementation, including user authentication and authorization.

  • Solid understanding of IT and architecture governance.

  • Relevant experience managing projects within the Financial Services sector.

Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps processes.

  • Knowledge of resource and financial management, as well as quotation development.

  • Experience with RFP/RFI processes, contract, and vendor management.

  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, MS Lists, and PPO.

  • Basic knowledge of IT security and its implications on projects.

  • Awareness of POPI legislation and its impact on project management.

  • Understanding of relevant business areas and their integration with IT projects.
