Overview

We are hiring a seasoned and dynamic Key Account Manager to drive growth within the B2B Fleet Cards and CRT Sales division. This role plays a crucial part in developing new business and managing key client relationships across the Coastal Region.

If you’re a self-starter with a strong sales track record — particularly in the Fleet Card sector or Oil Industry — this could be your next big move.

Responsibilities
  • New Business Development (80%): Identify, prospect, and secure new clients within the commercial road transport and FMCG sectors. This includes cold calling and presenting tailored solutions to potential customers.

  • Account Management (20%): Retain and grow existing client accounts by fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.

  • Value-Based Selling: Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services, focusing on benefits beyond pricing.

  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to strategically position our offerings.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including the Business Development Manager and other Key Account Managers, to align on goals and strategies.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a sales role, preferably within the Fleet Card Business, Oil Industry, or related sectors such as bulk fuel sales.

  • Skills: High emotional intelligence (EQ), strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in new business acquisition and account management.

  • Education: Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous but not essential.

  • Other: Must be based in Cape Town or willing to relocate. Preference will be given to candidates who meet Employment Equity (EE) requirements.

Day-to-Day
  • Proactively engage with potential clients through cold calling, meetings, and presentations.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.

  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Spend significant time on the road meeting clients, with occasional office-based work in Century City.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

If you are a driven professional ready to hit the ground running and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, we encourage you to apply.
