Machine Design Engineer

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for converting conceptual designs into mechanical equipment that meets process and mechanical requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Establish detailed project scopes and arrange project kick-off meetings

• Generate SolidWorks and Adobe general arrangement drawings, detailed machining drawings, and specification sheets

• Request and receive quotes, compile costing sheets, and place orders

• Ensure compliance with specifications and standards during the manufacturing process

• Interact with suppliers and engineers, and visit suppliers/subcontractors as necessary

• Keep detailed assembly and disassembly procedures up to date and accurate

• Participate in improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving

• Conduct machine testing and detailed data recording for statistical analysis

• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Adobe

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes

• Excellent project management and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Day-to-day
