Machine Design Engineer
Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for converting conceptual designs into mechanical equipment that meets process and mechanical requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
Responsibilities
Establish detailed project scopes and arrange project kick-off meetings
Generate SolidWorks and Adobe general arrangement drawings, detailed machining drawings, and specification sheets
Request and receive quotes, compile costing sheets, and place orders
Ensure compliance with specifications and standards during the manufacturing process
Interact with suppliers and engineers, and visit suppliers/subcontractors as necessary
Keep detailed assembly and disassembly procedures up to date and accurate
Participate in improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving
Conduct machine testing and detailed data recording for statistical analysis
Adhere to safety regulations and protocols
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Proficiency in SolidWorks and Adobe
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
Excellent project management and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
