Overview
An established investment management environment is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support and deliver complex initiatives across its investment platform. This role is best suited to a Business Analyst with strong multi-manager experience who can operate end to end, from early discovery and operating model design through to detailed requirements and delivery support.
You’ll work closely with Investment, Portfolio Management, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Data, and Technology teams, acting as the link between business strategy, data, and technology delivery.
What you’ll do
Lead workshops with senior business and technical stakeholders to gather and define requirements
Produce clear business, functional, and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Translate complex investment and operational needs into structured, delivery-ready outputs
Apply strong investment management and multi-manager knowledge across initiatives, including fund structures, mandates, asset allocation, manager selection, performance, and reporting
Support change across Front, Middle, and Back Office investment processes
Ensure requirements align with regulatory, governance, and industry standards
Analyse and design processes and operating models, including AS-IS and TO-BE workflows
Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance scale, control, and transparency
Work with data and technology teams to understand data flows, support data mapping and reconciliation, and enable reporting and analytics
Operate across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, supporting backlog refinement, sprint planning, UAT, and releases
Assist with change impact analysis and transition into BAU
Build strong working relationships across Investment, Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Data, and Technology teams
What you’ll need
8+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within Investment or Asset Management
Proven multi-manager experience (essential)
Experience working end to end, from early discovery through to detailed delivery
Exposure to large-scale change initiatives, platform implementations, or operating model redesigns
Strong requirements engineering capability
Experience with process modelling (AS-IS / TO-BE) and operating model design
Solid data literacy, including understanding data flows and system dependencies
Experience working in Agile (Scrum / SAFe) and Waterfall environments
Degree in Finance, Investments, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
BA or Agile certifications are advantageous
Experience with investment platforms, data warehouses, or reporting tools is beneficial
