Overview

We’re partnering with a leading organisation to find an experienced Senior Project Manager for a critical 12-month contract role, kicking off in August/September 2025.

This opportunity sits within the Adaptive Project Management Office of the Group Technology division and will see you leading a major project to migrate the organisation’s telephony system to the cloud.

You’ll play a key role in driving seamless integration with existing workflows, improving the customer experience, and ensuring alignment with operational goals across key business units.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of the call center system for the assigned business unit.

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to define requirements, success criteria, and user journeys.

  • Manage a project team to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with IT and vendor teams.

  • Coordinate the delivery of business-specific integrations with relevant business and IT teams.

  • Ensure the business unit’s scope is delivered within the program’s timelines.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, training, and change management, to ensure project success.

Qualifications
  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is required. A Bachelor’s degree with majors in Project Management or an equivalent qualification is advantageous.

  • Certifications: PRINCE2 or PMP certification is essential.

  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of PMBOK project management principles.

Required Experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably in customer service environments.

  • Proven experience in managing the delivery and deployment of complex business systems and integrations.

  • Expertise in change management and user training.

  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies, including Cloud and SaaS technologies.

  • Background in customer service operations or process improvement.

  • Experience with call center technologies and platforms is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of project life cycles and methodologies.

  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, PPO, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms.

  • Familiarity with workforce planning tools and techniques.
