Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Specialist to execute and maintain our client's Asset Performance Management (APM) strategy. This role is pivotal in maximizing the value creation of deployed assets by driving loss elimination, improving asset utilization, reducing unplanned downtime, and enhancing overall machine reliability.

Based in CPT or Gqeberha.

Responsibilities

As a Systems Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the global reliability management organization to ensure the reliability and maintainability of deployed filling lines within the cluster

  • Reflecting lessons learned from problem-solving, diagnostics reports, equipment inspections, and machine performance into APM strategies

  • Providing 1st and 2nd level technical support for the cluster and recommending maintenance strategy changes to prevent recurrence of incidents

  • Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of recommended maintenance strategies in APM and analyzing outcomes across distributed assets

  • Applying data analysis techniques to study repetitive failures and other issues affecting technical availability, including OEE loss, quality, cost, and compliance

  • Leading or co-leading new asset installations to ensure integrity and reliability in alignment with APM functionality and requirements

  • Preparing technical reports on asset integrity KPIs and providing weekly updates to management on initiatives and technical escalations

  • Providing technical coaching and executing systems training for local technical teams

  • Troubleshooting and maintaining connectivity to digital solutions such as ECS-OEE-AMP-LPC-CL+

  • Adhering to regional and global technical standards and governance related to APM

  • Initiating process improvements, technical innovations, and developing guidelines

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • Educational Background: Engineering Diploma or Degree

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in the aseptic industry and/or food industry is strongly preferred

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in written and verbal English is a must. Knowledge of German, French, or a local language is a plus

  • Competencies: A results-driven mindset, strong customer focus, collaborative approach, and the ability to innovate and adapt to challenges

  • Analyzing data to identify and resolve recurring technical issues

  • Providing hands-on technical support and coaching to ensure smooth operations

  • Preparing detailed reports and updates for management and stakeholders

  • Driving process improvements and implementing innovative solutions to optimize asset reliability
