Overview
6-Month Contract for a detail orientated and qualified Accountant opportunity. You will be responsible for performing and coordinating various accounting duties, including preparing journals, maintaining general ledgers, assisting with audit preparations, and supporting junior staff. If you have a strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Prepare schedules for intercompany accounting and control
Coordinate with the wider finance team for timely month-end close
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Assist with annual audit preparations
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and non-compliance issues
Contribute to the development of new accounting systems and procedures
Support and mentor junior staff as required
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
ACA or equivalent
Strong knowledge of IFRS, UK & US GAAP experience desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Proven track record in problem analysis and process improvements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong organization, time management, and planning skills
Results-driven attitude

As an Accountant, you will work closely with the finance team, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and develop new accounting systems.
