Overview
We are searching for an experienced Change Manager to lead the change management efforts for a strategic institutional project. This role is integral to the successful implementation of a new Postgraduate Digital Platform, which aims to transform and digitize the postgraduate and research environments. The position is a part-time (50% allocation), 18-month contract starting in mid-January 2026. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, with an average of three days per week on-site.
Responsibilities
As the Change Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive change management strategy and plan for the Postgraduate Digital Platform project 
- Conducting stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and change readiness evaluations 
- Designing and implementing a practical change management toolkit, including communication templates, stakeholder maps, and feedback mechanisms 
- Leading stakeholder engagement and communication activities to ensure all parties are informed, prepared, and supported throughout the transition 
- Collaborating with the project team to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan 
- Developing and delivering training and support plans to equip users with the necessary skills and knowledge for the new platform 
- Defining and measuring success metrics for change adoption and providing regular progress reports to project leadership 
- Coaching and advising senior leaders and managers to act as change sponsors and champions 
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and enhancing processes based on lessons learned 
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, or Business Administration, OR relevant certifications (e.g., PROSCI, APMG Change Management Certification, CMI Accreditation, Certified Change Management Professional™ (CCMP™)) at Practitioner Level 
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in change management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role 
- Proven expertise in establishing and leading change management functions within project environments 
- Strong knowledge of formal change management methodologies and their application 
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing change management strategies, plans, and toolkits for complex projects 
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall/Traditional project environments 
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
- Experience in training development and delivery 
- Senior HR/Organisational Development experience is advantageous 
- Experience working within higher education or public sector environments is a plus 
Day-to-Day
- Collaborate with the Project Management Office and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of change management activities 
- Conduct regular stakeholder engagement sessions to address concerns and provide updates 
- Develop and deliver training sessions to ensure user readiness for the new platform 
- Monitor and report on change adoption metrics and address any resistance to change 
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to leadership and staff to ensure the success of the project
