Responsibilities
As a Customer Support Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
Assembly and Commissioning: Assemble and commission our range of technologies and associated products.
Maintenance and Training: Conduct repairs, maintenance, and training on equipment at mine sites across South Africa and the broader region.
Customer Support: Act as the central point of contact for service requests, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently and professionally.
Spare Parts Sales: Support spare parts sales for existing customers, including coordination of supply and delivery.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
Required:
Journeyman qualification in mechanics, crane technology, diesel technology, or a similar trade.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Valid "C" Class Driver’s Licence and the ability to obtain an unrestricted international driver’s licence.
Ability to meet health and medical requirements for site work.
Desirable:
Experience in the hard rock mining industry.
Knowledge of grinding mill maintenance and relining.
Tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field.
Day-to-Day
Your daily activities will include:
Collaborating with the Service Superintendent to address breakdowns and ensure equipment functionality.
Conducting on-site training for mine personnel on the effective use of our technologies.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues efficiently.
Coordinating spare parts logistics and ensuring timely delivery.
Maintaining accurate records, including timesheets, expenses, and service reports.
Providing feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement in processes and products.
