Job Title: Solar Photovoltaic and Battery Storage Power Plant Design and Drafting Engineer

Overview:

Highly organized and reliable Design and Drafting Engineer to join our Project Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical drawings for solar photovoltaic and battery storage power plants, maintaining drawing standards, and providing support to Project Engineers and Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Create technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations.

• Develop and maintain drawings and drawing standards.

• Update technical drawings based on feedback and ensure quality standards are maintained.

• Liaise with Project Engineers & Managers for drawing and material specifications.

• Support Project Engineers & Managers with Bill of Material buildup.

• Act as the ISO9001 Drafting works Process Owner/Champion.

• Perform administrative tasks associated with design and drafting functions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in the Solar PV Corporate and Industrial Industry, including BESS.

• Proficiency in CAD software and Excel.

• Strong IT skills, including MS Office and basic database management.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and technical understanding.

• Documentation and record-keeping skills.

Day-to-day:

• Creative problem-solving and quick iteration of drawings.

• Efficient yet precise turnaround of drawings.

• Time management and regular communication of progress to the wider team.

• Maintaining change control procedures on drawings.

• Developing and supporting Project Engineers & Managers with Bill of Material buildup.
