Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Lead to join our client's team in Frankfurt, Germany. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee electrical systems packages on cutting-edge projects across various sectors, including data centers, advanced technology, and life sciences.

Responsibilities

As the Electrical Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the electrical systems package, including design, installation, and commissioning.

  • Ensuring site safety in collaboration with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor, including the setup and closeout of the safety file.

  • Overseeing the electrical design process in conjunction with the Design Manager.

  • Managing Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed (OFCI) electrical equipment and packages.

  • Driving a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental excellence within the team.

  • Managing site QA processes, including setup, tracking, and closeout of QA files.

  • Coordinating project schedules with the Project Manager, consulting engineers, and client requirements.

  • Overseeing all costs associated with the electrical package, including labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and variations.

  • Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Ensuring all works are installed per project specifications and quality assurance plans.

  • Supervising subcontractor activities, tracking progress, and conducting weekly meetings.

  • Planning and coordinating commissioning activities with the commissioning team.

  • Managing snagging systems and ensuring timely resolution of issues.

  • Preparing and issuing weekly cost and progress reports, highlighting risks and concerns.

  • Scheduling and tracking material deliveries to align with project timelines.

  • Supporting and mentoring the electrical team to foster professional development.

  • Preparing subcontract and supplier tender packages in collaboration with the Project Quantity Surveyor.

  • Maintaining a weekly project photographic diary.

  • Attending site meetings, project reviews, and coordination sessions.

  • Closing out all project items, including final accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, and QA documentation.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

  • A trade qualification and/or relevant third-level degree.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of coordinating and managing large installation projects.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with experience in design and build projects.

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices.

  • Experience handling industrial relations issues.

  • Excellent IT and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Proven ability to drive large-scale projects to successful completion.
