Finance Manager
Overview
We’re recruiting for a Finance Manager to support a major construction project in the renewable energy sector. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting for the project entity, maintaining accurate financial records, and engaging with key stakeholders such as lenders and shareholders. Additional responsibilities include managing the construction budget, maintaining the financial model, overseeing treasury operations, and ensuring compliance with local tax reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain detailed construction budgets
Oversee financial reporting to lenders and shareholders
Ensure compliance with external reporting standards and local tax requirements
Manage treasury operations and cash reporting
Assist in negotiations with offtakers and regulators
Support in post-COD discussions/negotiations with contractors and offtakers
Qualifications
Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CMA, or MBA
Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial manager
Knowledge of the energy or infrastructure industry, project finance, and public private partnerships
Strong network within the South African energy sector is a plus
Treasury experience in preparing cash reports and drawdowns
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Power Point
Day-to-day
