Overview
We are searching for an IT Business Analyst to join our client's Information Systems department, based in Stellenbosch. Reporting to the Head of Technology Product & Systems, this role is integral to shaping and improving business systems and processes, aligning them with strategic and operational needs. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of innovative solutions, manage complex projects, and unlock value from data through technical and AI expertise.
Responsibilities
Solution Design and Implementation
Research, plan, and document deliverables to support business and departmental objectives.
Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure alignment with project requirements and objectives.
Manage the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables are met within scope and on time.
Coordinate testing processes to ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver accurate results.
Implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new solutions.
Lead user training and ensure effective handover of systems to end-user departments.
AI Integration and Automation
Identify and propose AI-driven solutions to improve efficiencies, automate routine tasks, and enhance decision-making processes.
Continuously research emerging technologies and assess their applicability to departmental needs.
Existing Solutions Enhancement
Analyse current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and enhancements.
Recommend upgrades or system modifications, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Oversee the implementation of system improvements, coordinating with stakeholders and IT teams.
Data Optimisation
Map and analyse database structures and data sets, providing recommendations on leveraging business data effectively.
Use value analysis tools to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
5-10 years of experience in technical delivery and business analysis.
Proven track record of introducing and delivering effective solutions and managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in guiding and leading project teams with exposure to project management methodologies and technology delivery frameworks.
A relevant degree in IT, Business, Mathematics, BSc, or a related field.
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL is advantageous.
Ability to interpret extensive datasets and develop multi-faceted solutions.

Technical Proficiency
Experience working with a range of technologies.
Knowledge of Syspro and Tableau is advantageous.
