We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join client's our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with proven experience in the manufacturing, mining, or steel industries. Responsibilities
  • Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components.

  • Perform technical calculations and analyses to ensure safe and efficient mechanical designs.

  • Attend project meetings and actively contribute to planning and execution phases.

  • Conduct studies, simulations, and other tasks to support technical operations.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and company protocols.

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management within the company’s scope.

  • Participate in problem-solving sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the manufacturing, mining, or steel industry.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or CAD, and experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Advanced experience in tender processes, project management, and quotations.

  • Hands-on experience in steel and manufacturing environments is essential.

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Day-to-Day
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop innovative mechanical solutions.

  • Perform detailed technical analyses and calculations to support design decisions.

  • Engage in project planning and execution, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.

  • Conduct simulations and studies to optimize mechanical systems and components.

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and company protocols.

  • Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and cross-functional team discussions.
