This is a contract role, based in Cape Town.
As the Senior Process Engineer you will work with business and project teams to identify areas for business process improvement, drive performance enhancements, and contribute to the creation of future-state business operating models. Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute process improvement initiatives, ensuring quality, scope, and timely delivery
Conduct As-Is and To-Be analysis using relevant business process methodologies
Assist in business value and ROI assessment, performance measurement, and change management
Lead cross-functional value chain analysis and align business strategy with process architecture
Apply Enterprise Architecture frameworks and process improvement methodologies
Utilize process simulation to measure and improve performance
Manage stakeholder transformation through facilitation and coordination
Identify training needs, schedule training sessions, and develop communication plans for operational changes
Provide progress reports and ensure alignment with business objectives
Utilize BPM-related tools, including BPMS and RPA, for process automation
Work with data architects to define data flow, transformation, and information sources
Collaborate with project managers and IT teams to determine technical support requirements
Ensure compliance with risk controls and regulatory requirements within the customer domain
Essential Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, or Information Technology
Certifications: CBPP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, BPMN/UML
Agile Certification
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 4 years as a Process Engineer in an Agile environment
Strong background in BPMN/EPC/UML process modelling, business architecture, and process analysis & design
Industry expertise in insurance, particularly savings, income, and investment products
Familiarity with systems like Bancs and Bizagi
Knowledge of insurance regulations, project management principles, and SDLC
Proficiency in facilitation, business writing, and presentation skills
Ability to leverage big data concepts for research and customer experience management
