Contracts Manager
Overview
Our client is seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team and oversee the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of various project and commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local regulations, mitigate legal and operational risks, and provide expert legal advice across departments.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to renewable energy projects
Provide legal and compliance advice to senior management and various departments
Manage contractual disputes and collaborate with internal departments
Identify and propose corrective measures for legal, operational, and financial risks
Provide support in addressing insurance-related queries and ensuring proper coverage for contracts and projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) and admission as an attorney
1 – 3 years post-admission experience
Strong knowledge of South African contract law
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills
Experience in managing contractual disputes and engaging with external legal counsel
Day-to-day
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, providing legal advice, managing disputes, and collaborating with internal departments to address legal queries.
