Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Solutions Architect to join our client's team. This role is pivotal in leading the architecture and delivery of innovative technology solutions that support digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Microsoft solutions development, technical architecture, and project delivery. This is a 12-month contract position, based in Dubai, UAE. The role may require occasional travel within Africa.
Responsibilities
Strategic
Lead the delivery of technology architecture projects and sub-programs.
Develop digital technology blueprints and roadmaps for transformation strategies.
Act as the technology design authority, managing architectural changes and ensuring adherence to blueprints.
Support business development as a technology subject matter expert.
Maintain a professional network within the market.
Technical Architecture & Design
Design and implement custom Microsoft technical solutions using Power Platform and SharePoint Online.
Create data models and data architecture designs.
Establish and maintain standards and best practices for custom solutions and frameworks.
Document solutions, including design patterns, application architecture, data modeling, and user guides.
Cloud & Infrastructure
Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) structures.
Create Azure Resource Manager templates for cloud deployment.
Deploy project environments to the Azure cloud platform.
Vendor & Solution Management
Lead technology sourcing and selection activities.
Collaborate with third-party vendors to identify solution options.
Evaluate and recommend platforms such as Microsoft .NET, Angular JS, Ionic, Cordova, REACT, and SharePoint Online.
Project Delivery
Manage the technical delivery of solutions.
Work within project management and agile delivery methodologies.
Handle day-to-day issue management and monitor project performance.
Analyze requirements and produce specifications and reports.
Business Development
Identify leads and collaboratively develop proposals.
Provide technical guidance to progress opportunities.
Prepare technical documentation for business cases.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Developer certifications in Microsoft, Java, or cloud platforms.
PMP certification for project management is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 7+ years of professional development experience.
Hands-on experience in architecture and design.
Proficiency across multiple technologies, including:
Microsoft Development Stack: ASP.NET, MVC, C#, Web API, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, SQL Server.
Frontend Development: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Angular JS, Bootstrap, REACT.
Cloud & DevOps: Azure/AWS application development, CI/CD, unit and integration testing frameworks, Visual Studio Team Services, Git.
Architecture & Design: Enterprise application architecture, reusable components, custom solution architecture.
Preferred Skills
Experience with IoT applications, Bot Framework, AI agents development, serverless computing architectures, and mobile development (Xamarin, Xamarin Forms, Ionic).
Cross-industry sector experience.
Language & Communication
Proficiency in English is required; fluency in French is highly advantageous. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
