Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Electrical Project Manager in delivering all assigned electrical scope elements.
Coordinating engineering and design activities, including reviewing IFC/design drawings, raising RFIs, and supporting BIM coordination to produce construction and fabrication drawings.
Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards by contributing to RAMS/method statements, implementing ITPs/ITRs, and maintaining QA records.
Aligning engineering tasks with project schedules, preparing take-offs, and tracking procurement to avoid delays.
Supervising site installations, ensuring quality and compliance with codes and specifications for MV/LV switchgear, busbar trunking, UPS/STS systems, PDUs, and cable management.
Supporting testing and commissioning activities, including functional performance tests and managing punch/snags to closure.
Compiling and maintaining technical documentation, including submittals, redlines, as-builts, and O&M inputs.
Coordinating with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams, attending technical meetings, and tracking progress against project plans.
Managing project schedules in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and escalation of issues when necessary.
Participating in site meetings, project reviews, and handover meetings.
Assisting in the preparation and assessment of subcontractor and supplier tender packages for technical compliance.
Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards, including DIN VDE 0100, IEC 60364, and EN/IEC 61439.
Supporting digital delivery through ISO 19650–aligned CDE workflows and model-based approvals.
Qualifications
Essential:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a qualification in Construction Management.
5–8 years of experience in large installation projects, with a preference for mission-critical or data center projects.
Proficiency in MV/LV power distribution, UPS/STS systems, busbar trunking, earthing/bonding, EPMS/BMS interfaces, and commissioning workflows.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in BIM/CAD and engineering document control.
Working knowledge of DIN VDE 0100/IEC 60364, EN/IEC 61439, and DIN 14675.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
A strong safety and quality assurance mindset.
Desirable:
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex project interfaces.
Familiarity with advanced BIM workflows and digital tools such as Revit, Tekla, and Navisworks.
Knowledge of sustainability practices (LEED/BREEAM) and embodied carbon considerations.
Understanding of German or other European building regulations.
German language skills and familiarity with local site practices.
Exposure to ISO 19650 CDE workflows and 4D planning tools.
Experience with EN 50600 KPIs and energy reporting in data centers.
Knowledge of building automation and controls, including BMS/BACS designs aligned with ISO 16484 and VDI 3814.
