We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our client's team in Frankfurt, Germany. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the electrical scope of large-scale, mission-critical projects, including data centers, advanced technology facilities, and life sciences projects.

Responsibilities

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of electrical systems within our projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, design consultants, and contractors to establish performance criteria, manage project schedules and budgets, and ensure transparent reporting.

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor electrical construction and engineering teams to achieve safety, quality, time, and cost objectives.

  • Safety & Quality Governance: Champion safety and quality standards, approve QA/QC plans, and enforce compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

  • Programme & Cost Control: Develop and monitor project schedules, manage variations, and support recovery plans as needed.

  • Design Coordination & Technical Assurance: Review designs, resolve RFIs, and ensure technical compliance with project requirements.

  • Supply Chain & Materials Management: Plan and coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors to align with project timelines.

  • Testing & Commissioning: Oversee the testing, commissioning, and integration of electrical systems, ensuring readiness for handover.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to German regulatory standards, including Baustellenverordnung, VOB/HOAI frameworks, and DGUV accident prevention rules.

  • Digital Delivery Leadership: Implement BIM collaboration and ISO 19650-aligned Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, safety files, and QA files.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
  • A trade background and/or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience leading large electrical installation projects, preferably in mission-critical environments such as data centers.

  • Strong expertise in MV/LV power distribution, UPS/generator systems, EPMS/BMS integration, and commissioning.

  • Proven skills in programme, commercial, and stakeholder management.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Working knowledge of relevant standards, including DIN VDE 0100/IEC 60364, EN/IEC 61439, DIN 14675, and site EHS governance.

Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience delivering projects to EN 50600 standards and familiarity with EU EED/EnEfG obligations for data centers.

  • Hands-on experience with BIM/CDE workflows and 4D planning integration.

  • Knowledge of VOB/B and HOAI phases, as well as grid connection coordination to VDE-AR-N 4110/4120 standards.

  • Expertise in DGUV arc-flash assessment, PPE selection, and authoring switching procedures.

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in supply-chain resilience planning for long-lead equipment.

  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures for data centers, including PUE targets, renewable energy sourcing, and waste heat reuse.
