Overview

We're looking for a highly professional and detail-oriented HR Administration Assistant to join our client's Human Resource Department. This full-time position, based in Centurion, offers an exciting opportunity to support the HR & Payroll Manager in various administrative and HR-related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

As an HR Administration Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring, capturing, and resolving issues related to time sheets, and reporting to the HR Manager.

  • Updating and maintaining leave schedules.

  • Filing, scanning, binding, and maintaining employee and HR files.

  • Compiling HR-related documents as instructed by the HR Manager.

  • Drafting and managing Excel sheets with HR information.

  • Assisting with payroll documentation as required.

  • Liaising with employees to ensure timely signing of documents.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resource Assistant or Administrative position.

  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic reporting) and Word. Certification is preferable.

  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and payroll processing is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans; a third language is advantageous.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

  • Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Day-to-Day

Your daily activities will involve:

  • Ensuring the accuracy and timely resolution of time sheet issues.

  • Keeping leave schedules up to date.

  • Organizing and maintaining HR files and documentation.

  • Preparing reports and Excel sheets with HR-related data.

  • Supporting payroll processes and liaising with employees for document sign-offs.

  • Collaborating with the HR Manager to ensure smooth HR operations.
