Overview

Our client has a position open for a Sales Manager to join their team in the wholesale segment of the market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and exploring new business opportunities in the Southern Africa region. This role will involve engaging with carrier clients, presenting competitive solutions, and driving revenue and profit targets.

Responsibilities

  • Presenting our brand to carrier players and managing relationships with clients

  • Acquiring RFP invites, presenting feasible solutions, and sealing deals

  • Exploring new business opportunities and forging relations with target clients

  • Acting as the primary contact point to carrier partners/clients and organizing commercial events

  • Contributing to market research and intelligence into pricing functions

  • Managing contracts with carrier partner/clients and ensuring compliance with company policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a related field

  • Certifications or supplementary sales training

  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience in the telecom industry, with at least 5 years in the carrier or wholesale telecom market

  • Strong understanding of the wholesale telecom market in the Southern Africa region

  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills

  • Techno-commercial experience and understanding of financial terms

  • Solid understanding of telecommunication networks and new technologies

  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time both locally and internationally

Day-to-Day

  • Engaging with carrier clients and presenting competitive solutions

  • Networking and presenting service and capability to target clients

  • Coordinating with internal departments to position product and ensure customer needs are met

  • Managing contracts with carrier partner/clients and ensuring compliance with company policies
