Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our client’s VAT and Indirect Tax Compliance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain valuable insights into VAT compliance, and build the foundation to transition into an Account Manager role.

Our client is a leading provider of VAT and Indirect Tax Compliance Services, combining expert-led insights with advanced technology. They simplify complex compliance processes through automation and personalized support, helping clients meet their tax obligations efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

As an Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our compliance operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Capturing, processing, and analyzing data.

  • Assisting Account Managers with VAT filings, including VAT returns, ECSLs, and Intrastat reports.

  • Drafting professional correspondence and emails.

  • Conducting VAT compliance checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.

  • Supporting technical research related to VAT and indirect tax compliance.

  • Performing administrative tasks as required by the team.

  • Communicating with tax authorities when necessary.

  • Managing client and tax authority queries and resolving issues effectively.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, Account Managers, and team members.

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of required information to relevant stakeholders.

  • Assisting with audit preparation and responses.

  • Demonstrating a clear understanding of the business and the role of an Account Manager.

  • Undertaking additional ad-hoc tasks to support business objectives.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Prior experience in VAT compliance or a related field is advantageous but not essential.
